Capital of coffee and Opera music. This city offers loads of fun things to do and see!

Vienna, Austria its artistic and intellectual, historical grand its got something for everyone. If ever have the chance to visit even for a short trip definitely take it.I personally fell in love with the city the art!

How to get around

Getting around in Vienna is simple very connected, trams and U-Bahn (metro) all around the city has a unique public transport where it runs in an honour system this means no ticket barriers or even officers to check your tickets you are trusted to purchase your own ticket before hopping aboard. purchase a ticket from the ticket machines or wiener linien ticket offices or using your phone wienmobil app a one day ticket online is around 10 euro. From the airport you can use the CAT train service non stop to Wien Mitte or use line S7 which is more budget friendly.

Uber and electric scooters are also readily available for cheap around the city.

When to go

heavy tourist seasons is around summer and winter

I visited end of march is had warm weather and just before easter which was a good time wasnt too cold a trench coat and layers would do it. In the winter it can get very cold and the summer is full tourist bloom consider visitng during times where it is less busy. December and July, August are the busiest months.

They speak german in Vienna however most people will also speak english its good to know a few phrases in german.

Where to stay

I stayed in Flemings selection hotel wein-city which is considered 8th district just behind Vienna’s Town Hall and a 5-minute walk from the Ringstraße Boulevard.Friendly hotel within walking distance of the Natural History Museum . Underground tram within walking distance great location very convenient surrounded by supermarkets and cafes/restaurants all in immediate area and easy access to viennas central shopping districts nearby.
